Hannah de Vries is the Programme Manager Asia-Pacific, based in the Regional Office in Yangon, Myanmar. In her role as Programme Manager Asia-Pacific she manages all Montrose projects in Myanmar and Asia-Pacific, ensuring high quality, timely delivery, and providing technical input. In close partnership with the senior management team, she represents Montrose externally, maintaining strong networks in Myanmar and regionally.

Hannah has been living and working in the Southeast Asian region since January 2015, working for INGOs in Cambodia and in Myanmar where she has gained a broad experience in a variety of sectors including WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, Education, and Human Rights. Prior to Montrose, she served as the Programme Adviser for ZOA Myanmar providing input for project proposals for potential donors, ensuring compliance to donor reporting requirements (OFDA, GIZ, the Dutch government, WFP, LIFT), and monitoring projects’ progress. She also contributed to staff and partner capacity enhancement providing training on do-no-harm, conflict sensitivity, and the Core Humanitarian Standards. Hannah also served as the M&E and Capacity Development Coordinator, managing the M&E team for the Livelihoods project funded by the Livelihood and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT). In Cambodia, she played a key role in the phase-out of IJM’s anti-human trafficking programme (USAID-CTIP), determining the 12-year programme’s impact, ensuring a smooth exit and handover to the anti-human trafficking police and advocating for better collaboration between government agencies and relevant INGOs. Furthermore, she extensively trained IJM's Investigations team as they transitioned into an anti-labour trafficking programme. 

Hannah holds an MSc in International Crimes & Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, providing her with insight into the nature, prevalence and causes of international crimes such as genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, and a BSc in Psychology from Universiteit Leiden. She is a native Dutch speaker and fluent in English.
