Montrose has been contracted to implement a five-year social investment programme focussing on developing base-level entrepreneurs in Equatorial Guinea. The programme will aim to support the establishment and growth of base-level enterprises owned by Equato-Guineans, on the mainland of Equatorial Guinea as well as contribute to a positive culture of entrepreneurship.

The programme will focus on developing value chains as well as providing training and mentoring support to potential and existing entrepreneurs.

The first phase of the project will focus on value chain development in targeted subsectors – namely pineapples and aquaculture; provision of training and technical assistance for the cocoa sector on Bioko Island; and business development support for new and existing base-level entrepreneurs.
